Throughout our website you’ll find lots of information about Strawberry and the services we offer; hopefully you’ll see how everything is driven by our passion for what we do – a passion which came to the business with our owner Nicola Hickinbotham but has very quickly passed to everyone else involved in the company! 
 
A good time therefore to hear a little bit about the Strawberry ethos from Nicola herself……. 
 
“The first part of my 17 years in the property industry was spent very much within the corporate sector where I gained a great deal of experience and training. During this time my passion for letting and selling was born but I also started to realise that customer service wa,s in general, not the highest priority of the main players within the marketplace. I decided that I wanted to offer something truly different; to mix knowledge and professionalism with the kind of pro-activity that always put the customer’s needs first. So here I find myself today at the helm of Strawberry Lettings & Sales, a company I love and thankfully is loved by its clients. When we say that we offer great customer service that’s exactly what we do and part of that is providing accurate valuations and genuine advice to achieve sales and lets quickly but also at the right price.”

Meet the Team 

We are a small but very perfectly formed team of dedicated people, ready to help and to get you the result you want regardless of whether you are buying, selling, letting or renting. Here’s just a little more information about ‘Who’s Who’. 
Nicola Hickinbotham - Strawberry Lettings & Sales, Barrow Upon Soar, Quorn, Moutsorrel, Sileby, Loughborough

Nicola 

Nicola is the owner of Strawberry Lettings & Sales and is still very much involved in our property valuations. It’s not just her great experience of the market which helps her do this so well as she also lives in the local area (and has done for some time) and works hard to maintain her knowledge of everything going on in the locality. On top of this, her positivity and confidence is what keeps us all on track, making sure that each and every new instruction is valued realistically and achieves its full potential. When she’s not doing valuations to her meticulously high standard she is mostly involved with the growth of the business, looking into our service offering, the future needs and desires of our clients and our pro-active marketing strategies. It is Nicola who ensures that we continue to be a very important part of the local community, not only by over-seeing our charitable donations and sponsorships, but also by attending networking events with other local, regional and even national businesses. This keeps the Strawberry finger on the pulse and means that we benefit from the sharing of best practice with other successful companies. 

Claire - Office Admin Manager Property Maintenance & Sales Progression 

Claire is our super-efficient Office Administration Manager. When you call our Barrow office she is the lady who will make sure that your needs are dealt with professionalism and promptness. Being just as meticulous as Nicola when it comes to attention to detail, Claire is very much suited to the handling of all maintenance queries, pre-scheduled tasks , unforseen repairs and insurance claims - all of which are very important tasks and need to be handled in a methodical and efficient manner. Her tenacity ensures that she sees a job through to the end (taking no prisoners!) so who better to see the sales process through to completion, keeping vendors and buyers up to date at every stage. Whether you are a landlord or tenant, buyer or vendor, you can rest assured that nothing gets missed when Claire is on the case!! 
 

Kim Sales & Lettings Negotiations 

Kim takes care of the majority of our valuations and also carries out most accompanied viewings. Her job doesn’t stop when the viewing ends; she ensures that she gets valuable feedback from each potential buyer or tenant and makes sure that this is presented to the vendor or landlord in regular update calls. You are in very safe hands with Kim who introduces every property to market as if it is her own. Her talent for achieving a swift sale through quick property matches is amazing, thanks mostly to her ability to accurately recall details of conversations she has had with prospective buyers. Just like Nicola, Kim has an in-depth knowledge of the area and can recognise the best features of every new instruction and highlight them in a viewing. In the midst of some of our more ‘challenging’ sales or lets she will remain positive (when even the most patient of us will start to lose faith) and is always willing to go that extra mile. 
 

Amanda Applications & New Tenancies 

Amanda is in charge of the applications process and all matters associated with new tenancies, including the receipt and checking of references. Quick to spot a potential issue, she will efficiently address anything which arises when vetting new tenants. Whilst we always have an obligation to protect the landlord as much as we can at Strawberry, Amanda makes sure that we are also fair to every potential new tenant and use all of the information at our disposal to make a sound recommendation. Amanda's 'firm but fair' attitude within her role ensures that everyone's best interests are taken into consideration, whilst her ability to stick to the task at hand makes the applications process so much easier! 
 

Mel Photographer 

Mel is our resident David Bailey, taking very professional photographs of our properties and making sure that they make the very best first impression when we present them to the potential buyers or tenants out there. As a business we learned very early that good images were a key part of the marketing package and we’ve seen a few really, really bad ones in our time….. . His background in property maintenance also puts him in the perfect position to recognise any potential long term issues for landlords and allows us to suggest timely and long- term cost saving preventative measures. This meticulous attention to detail also comes in very useful when he is putting together inventories, making sure nothing is missed and both landlords and tenants are fairly treated from day one. 
 

Natalie  Valuations, Viewings & Check-outs 

Natalie is most definitely a multi-tasker and the provision of great customer service is the key element through everything she does. Stress just doesn't register with Natalie so she is the perfect person to liaise with our customers at the times when they themselves can be feeling the pressure. As with every member of the Strawberry team, it is professionalism balanced with genuine enthusiasm which shines through at valuations and property viewings. When it comes to the check-out process she ensures that no detail is overlooked and that the tenant and the landlord part company on the best of terms. 
 

Hannah Negotiations, Bookings & General Enquiries 

Hannah joined the Strawberry team relatively recently but instantly made an impact. As the 'young blood' of the office she makes sure that we stay very much in the 21st century and don't become stale in our attitude or approach to new marketing opportunities. Whilst she is always friendly and most definitely professional, she is ruthless in her quest to ensure that our database only contains genuine buyers and tenants. This means that when she books a viewing on any of our properties she knows that 'time wasting' won't be an issue. Being born into the world of Strawberry she understands every element within the process of moving home and this makes her perfectly positioned to assist those who have questions or concerns when they are right in the middle of it. Her experience certainly belies her years!
